Mandarin 101& 102 - Fun for Kids
This is an introduction course of Mandarin Chinese, the official language of China. It provides children phonetic instruction in Mandarin pronunciation (tones & pinyin) and the basics of the Chinese language, including strokes and radicals, character recognition, understanding and using key vocabularies and core phrases & sentences that cover many topics from a child's world, such as friends, family, food, animals, school & home and more.

The focus of the course is to teach high-frequency characters and functional spoken language to get children started in communicating in Mandarin. The courses is designed to teach through fun activities and games, which include animated films, music & songs, demonstration, task-completion, interactive exercises, role-play and physical movement. Multimedia and plenty of visual aids are incorporated in teaching.

At the end of the course, your child will be able to recognize key Chinese characters, talk about him/herself, use daily phrases and interact with others in basic Mandarin .

Format:  Private one-to-one or up to four students per class

Mandarin 101 & 102- Conversational Chinese (Adult Class)

The course is designed for students with no or little prior knowledge of Mandarin, the official language of China. It focuses on three areas: 1) Phonetic instruction. 2) Key sentence patterns. 3) Travel Essentials - Functional spoken language. Character learning is optional based on students' needs.

Phonetic instruction: students will be trained in tones and Pinyin, the phonetic system for standard pronunciation of Mandarin
Key sentence patterns: learn key sentence patterns that are most frequently used in daily conversations.
Travel Essentials - Functional spoken Mandarin: learn the functional use of Mandarin concerning traveling in China.
